Advanced Graphic Facilitation Workshop near NYC

In a follow-up to a highly successful workshop held February 2017 in Bologna (Italy), three master scribes will offer a deep dive into the practice and application of visual thinking as a facilitation tool. [see details]

Visuals serve as key facilitative aids for collective seeing and navigation. Live scribing–giving form to the social body–is a method especially suited to address today’s great challenges. As visual practitioners, we face a particular need and opportunity to expand the awareness, mindsets, and choices that feed our outward expression.

Over three days - in a dedicated retreat environment - we will combine theory, exercises, reflection, and peer learning to explore the following:

• A model of practice that grounds inner cultivation
• Ways to locate and relax into our most authentic selves
• Levels of listening, systems thinking, discernment, and generative scribing
• What it means to draw from, and for, an emerging future reality
• Mapping next steps for projects and/or professional development

Description: This immersive program is designed for intermediate and advanced visual practitioners who wish to strengthen and deepen their existing knowledge by enfolding Presencing, among other social technologies, towards developing mastery in the profession and field.​

Upcoming Principles of Graphic Facilitation Workshop in San Francisco

Principles of Graphic Facilitation combines the theory and practice of graphic facilitation with the fundamentals of graphic recording. It is informed by David Sibbet’s definitive book Graphic Facilitation: Transforming Groups with the Power of Visual Listening. Participants learn to draw, create large-format displays, record, and practice facilitating and receiving feedback. They also design a meeting process and learn about methods of documenting visual meetings. This workshop is a full immersion in the best practices for applying visual language to group processes.
