ADVANCED FACILITATION SKILLS
Meeting Magic are pleased to share their facilitation expertise in a 2-day Advanced Facilitation Training Course.
Building on their depth of facilitation experience, Meeting Magic have
developed this training course in advanced facilitation skills.
Designed for experienced facilitators, it explores the use of graphic
facilitation to support effective working in even the most challenging
of situations.
This workshop is designed for experienced facilitators who wish to further develop their skills to handle the most challenging facilitation situations.
Course Outline: Specifically, the workshop provides the opportunity to develop an understanding of the fundamental causes of conflict in groups:
- An understanding of the basic processes that underlie the work done in groups.
- Tools and techniques for managing information to maximise understanding. Skills to effectively facilitate complex situations
The workshop is delivered using a blend of discussion, group work, practice and feedback in an environment which is set up to be supportive and encourage mutual learning. The trainers contribute their expertise, not only in formal theory session, but also through discussion with the participants. During the discussions, real facilitation situations are reviewed and the theory brought to life by exploration of the options available for effective facilitation.
The two days are structured around 4 key questions:
- How can facilitators focus the group on a common purpose?
- How can facilitators encourage trust, respect and openness?
- How can facilitators support clarity of understanding? How can facilitators support decision making?
